Darn. I hate Raiton or rather, Elemental Ninjutsu, but I would not waste your time like Nathan's. I do not understand Raiton but based on Narutopedia, that the user generate lightning by increasing the high frequency vibrations of their chakra, allowing for piercing damage and fast movement. Raiton is strong against earth and has a unique relation with water. Raiton is a component of Rantom.

I guess that is fine you could have said some users of lightning. Which village utilizes lightning the most, or went more depth into how wind and lightning clash and or why wind>lightning because it is sharper. Also you forgot the numbing aspect of lightning

Description: The user will manipulate their chakra to create small bolts of lightning to attack their target.


Straight forward attack with small lighting bolts from your hand by discharging the chakra and upping the vibrations.

Raiton no Jutsu - Lightning Release Technique: A training method to know one nature affinity is by focusing and infusing his/her chakra into pieces of paper made from a special type of tree (that are grown and fed with chakra) that react to even the slightest hint of chakra in any of a number of ways, depending on the nature latent in the chakra. Lightning wrinkles when you insert your chakra.

Strong points

• A quick discharge of lightning.
• Shape into the weapon of you choice as long as you have the right amount chakra for manipulation.
• Mid-range is your limit. However, not necessarily restricted to that range.

Weak points

• Not wide-range.

Combinations-strategies Focusing the lightning in preexisting water, which produce an eletric shock to your target.

Ways to counter: Through water techniques as it conducts electricity.

Description: The user will concentrate their chakra and slam their hand on the ground to release a surge of lightning across the ground to the opponents feet to shock them.

Very easy build up lightning in your hands slam them to the ground and extend the lightning out across the ground to the enemy's feet. This is a weaker version of sasukes technique

(Raiton: Raikou Oonami) - Lightning Release: Lightning Surge: The ninja generates chakra in the hand as a medium, increasing the high frequency vibrations of their chakra to change the nature of the chakra into electricity. The ninja slams their palm on to the ground, unleashing a surge, wave of electricity across the ground towards the target feet, stunning them.

Strong points

• Stunning
• Low wave
• Quick release

Weak points

• Weak
• Not used to inflict damage

Combinations/Strategies Focusing the lightning in preexisting water, which produce an electric shock to your target.

Ways to counter: A wind stream can causing it not to flow freely.

Keep in mind just because t is low level jutsu does not mean it does not do damage. It says 20 damage.

Moving on using a raiton shield in close range when hitting your enemy it gives them a jolt. Full body but limited power.

(Raiton: Raijingu Sanda) - Lightning Style: Raging Thunder: The ninja generates lightning to their hand and after dealing a blow with it,the ninja creates a powerful barrier before him.

Strong points

• Can be use to attack directly
• Protective against physical attacks
• Tactic: Overwhelm your opponent.

Weak points

• Water Techniques, although, not necessarily.
• Clashing of any kind which negates another technique would result in destroying your surroundings and possibly harm you.

Combinations-strategies I do not know.
