I understand why both characters used those controversial phrases, both of them are pure at heart, they just couldn't see the flaws in things they believe.

Naruto - Hokage are perfect, if anyone aspires to become one, he's admirable...
Sasuke - Itachi did exactly what a 'Shinobi' would do a/c to Hokage's definition of a perfect 'Shinobi' and Hashirama even praised Itachi's efforts...

People said Sasuke is so stupid for calling Itachi that , they say we don't say to someone who killed our parents and our clan perfect .

As if they don't know why he did what he did , Sasuke called him perfect after knowing Itachi's sacrifce for the leaf village , if my brother did that i'll call him perfect too . I mean itachi was labeled as a villain and hated by everyone just to protect the leaf, he ws forced to kill his parents . He IS perfect to me
