You saw how old the 3rd Hokage was right in early naruto, and the 1st hokage taught him, and the 1st fought Madara. Going by this, there is no way Isuna (madaras approx age) would be the same age as danzo since danzo and the 3rd are about the same age. Izuna and Madara would both be so old they'd easily be dead. Its either a Zetsu clone of Madara continuing his work like i suggested

lol as i said knew it, yea tobi could be izuna, i never believed it for a second that he was madara, who talks about themselves in third person? there had to be a reason kishi shows his face in flash backs, and has to hide it after , but yea tobi is izuna(1 possibility) <--- theory 1
my personal favourite
theory 2 , is somehow a zetsu clone with madara's sharingan and mind implanted after he died that night, it would explain why his hand is white like white zetsu, he sincerely believes he is madara, he was upset that nagato betrayed him and said "damn nagato you were suppose to use rinnee tensei on me"
and now edo madara was expecting to be revived from rinne tensei
it seems like the zetsu believes he is madara, itachi said " uchiha madara is very much alive..and so are his eyes and their power"
tobi said, he was a shell of his former self, and his goal was to become complete,
reuniting body and mind was possibly their goal, but nagato screwed up because of naruto, and betrayed them, but kabuto somehow got ahold of madara's dna and revived him, putting his plans to a halt

Kagami & danzo are from the same era & both the groups were formed during those times, also he has to have had some sort of contact with danzo because he was a part of the uchiha massacre

Everyone keeps saying that its izuna now. Izunas dead body was shown in a coffin in a flash back. It could have been a fake death, but I personally don't think so. In my opinion Tobi is a clone that madara made of himself using the first hokages cells after he fought the first. I think he became really weak so he created the clone to carry on his plan. I think he lived atleast up until the plan with nagato started since he knew nagato, but died sometime after that. I think tobi is kind of like zetsu. The four things I am basing that off of is first when tobi fought Fu and torune and his arm got infected by torunes bugs, madara rips his arm off and instead of blood, it seems to be the same white substance as when zetsu splits in half. The second thing is that tobi used izanagi which requires Denny and uchiha DNA, so if he is an uchiha clone made from Denny DNA, that would explain how he can use izanagi. third is that zetsus clones are weaker then the originals, which would explain why tobi didnt really seem to have combat skill that madara was thought to have. Because he is a weaker version of the original. And final the thing I don't completely understand with my theory is how madara learned his teleport jutsu, but tobi sometimes teleports by merging into objects similar to how zetsu travels. So tobis teleporting might be an advanced form of zetsus transporting. Atleast that is what I have come to. Who knows if it is right. Lol. I'm sure I'll end up being completely off
