Good point, also like Itachi (was it?) said, the essential difference between Naruto and Tobi is that, though they were good to begin with, and aspire to the same purpose (world peace), Tobi wanted too much power! I guess in a universe when someone can switch his mind that drastically, with almost no efforts (especially Nagato in the final minutes) anything is possible, and therefore IF (and that's one big if) Obito was still alive, he could very well turn against Konoha given the right stimuli. The problem is we don't know about Rin's death. And until we do, we have ABSOLUTELY nothing to support a theory which includes an Evil Obito :).

I think that the original Madara created an imprint of himself and gave Nagato the Rinnegan before he died. Tobi said that he gave Nagato the Rinnegan. Given that the tsuchikage said that Madara should of died 80 years ago Madara had to be 80 or 90 something when Nagato was born. When Madara is first resurrected he talks about how Nagato has matured and the time has finally came. Madara planed to resurrect himself with nagatos jutsu

Given that the tsuchikage said that Madara should of died 80 years ago Madara had to be 80 or 90 something when Nagato was born. Im going to have to say Kagami... I always thought that it was too much of a drastic hairstyle change, and if u look at kagami's and tobi's, they are almost identicle

The 1st hokage had kids right? So it's possible that madara had kids too and maybe did something to obito as a child liked seal his chakra or even one of his ems to activate ms in a dire situation to use that warp thing that tobi does to escape or maybe even izangi who knows. It'd be cool pretty cool if tobi took of the mask and say "hello grandfather" to madara and shake the naruto universe!

Theory of the old days

NOTE: this thread isnt all about madara and tobi thing has to do with it but mainly is about the TRUTH (imo) of the olden days SO DONT SAY ANYTHING UNTIL YOU READ

ok so to start things off my vote is tobis izuna but onto the theory

in the old times madara and izuna were brothers that competed against eachother madara and izuna eventually gained MS and had extreme power. Now what if tobi lied again like he always does lately about the past what if when madara was losing his vision took izunas eyes but what if izuna never died. izuna might have found a another uchiha killed him somehow and took his eyes.what if madara really never died from the firsts battle and both lived and then decided to try and make the 10 tails . but what if at some point nagato killed madara somehow and than izuna took his place instead and became who we know today as tobi plus what if nobody knew about how the first hokage died and in the end was really killed by izuna or both at once. and now izuna is trying to accomplish the true goal for getting the 10 tails for avengance on his brother

so now this is it ask questions about this if confused

Let me ask you this. If any of those characters turned out to be Tobi, what would be the reaction be? How would the plot move forward, if any of THOSE characters turned out to be Tobi? "F*ck yes I guessed right!!! I'm gonna brag about it on Narutobase!!!!" There's no plot twist or fulfillment within the manga if ANY of those characters turned out to be Tobi. The story of Naruto won't deepen if Uchiha Kagami, (a guy was wasn't even mentioned in a flash, he was just there) turned out to. If the identity of Tobi was revealed to be anyone, that character would have SIGNIFICANCE. When Madara was revealed, there is significance to his appearance, it means something to the plot. After reading Naruto for years now, don't any of you guys not realize that Kishi never mentions a character or gives them a thorough back story unless that character carries importance to the present plot of Naruto and moves it forward. All the characters you people are guessing, have alrdy served their purpose in the manga or are completely irrelevant to the plot. If Kishi were to make Tobi's identity one of those characters, he would discredit himself as an author, for not foreshadowing his identity beforehand and giving that character a significant role in the manga. Please use your common sense and stop trying to find self fulfillment in sharing ur thoughts. It makes no sense at times. So what, I can string together a bunch of loosely tied facts and claim Tobi is a baby panda. Do I post those facts as a theory? No cause I know better


To be honest with you all I think Tobi is a guy named Tobi, and the Nagato Madara speaks of is a rainbow unicorn. It only makes sense seriously

I believe that Madara gave the rinnegan to Nagato to revive himself later when Nagato had better control of the Rinnegan. i also think that Tobi was an imprint of Madara that Madara created to make sure Nagato does this. I believe this
because the tsuchikage said that Madara died 80 years ago. Madara looked around 30 in the manga. Nagato was probally born 30 years ago. At Nagatos birth Madara had to be 80, weak, and maybe dieing. ftw
