Despite the fact that Tobi is not Madara, he clearly has an in depth understanding of him. Therefore, there are only two people Tobi can be, Izuna or the original Zetsu. I mean since he knows so much about madara and was so capable of representing himself as such, that he had to have been very close to him. So the soul and personality within Tobi's body is the either the consciousness of Izuna or the original Zetsu. If it is Izuna, the actual body may not be Izuna's, but the soul certainly would be. So basically all the Tobi = Shisui, Kagami or obito theories are wrong because they could not have fooled people into thinking they were Madara.

Its possible that Tobi is using the body of one of these shinobi, but they themselves are not the masterminds. Perhaps Zetsu was even able to transform his body into a form of Madara to the point where he half believed he was Madara himself...... IDK but clearly Tobi's soul or consciousness is that of Izuna or the original Zetsu.

I reckon he is Uchiha Shisui

1. Shisui disappeared
2. Itachi got blamed for killing him (Though there was no proof)
3. Itachi never actually said he killed Shisui
4. Shisui would have taken someone else's eyes to make himself more powerful (which explains how Itachi and Danzo got one each)
5. Shisui's character hasn't been introduced properly yet, Obito has been introduced and shown to die.

lol @ all the ppl who claimed Tobi was Madara. Just because he said he was Madara didn't make him Madara.

Madara is actually sounds like a good guy from the short quotes he said in this chapter.

I think Tobi is either Izuna, Kagami.

Yes, I do. I most certenly do. I said this earlier today btw... It's what I think is right.

Madara has two bodies (Tobi and Madara), and one mind.

Therefore Tobi said he was a "formser shell of myself", and not complete.

My god.... He was supposed to use moon eye, to get Kabuto to revive his body.... I see now, I see...

And he just acted that he didn't know Edo tensei...

If that is possible, and I'm not saying it's not because at the moment I am not ruling out ANY possibility (okay, Tobi isn't Obito), then it would make sense. Tobi did mention becoming complete, but when Kabuto resurrected Madara to scare Tobi, Tobi did become frightened. If Tobi was frightened, it would be because of two things.

1. He wanted to move under Madara's name, or his own name, depending what the circumstances are.

2. In his current form, he probably would NOT be able to beat Madara. Even if is some incarnation of Madara, and knew his techniques, he still would feel he wouldn't be able to beat him.

All in all, I got the summoning I really wanted, other than the Sage. I've wanted to see Madara in his prime fight... for SO. Long.

who can tobi be and how did he know so much about the real madara. also if he isnt madara how does he have so much knoweldge about the nine tails minato even said himself only madara could know when the nine tails seal was going to be at its weakest. another thing after the death of deidara tobi approached kisame and took off his mask and kisame recognized him as madara uchiha. this manga has just gotten REAL!

i ve got to go with sasuke's dad he knew alot about itachi and honestly we all know that itachi s genjustu was crazy he didnt even have to look at u who 2 say sasuke wasnt already in his genjustu from the start but idk

madara is smart. before he battled the 1st hokage, he planned ahead.

1) kill 1st hokage
2) if plan 1 fails and my body & soul dies, i activate X jutsu which will keep my senses & will alive.
3) the body who will posses my senses & will, shall be tasked to find someone who has the rinneggan, who will then have ressurect madaras dead body & soul.

this explains why edo madara knows about nagato. its because his senses & will is still alive within tobi. edo tensei is a powerful but flawed jutsu.

naruto's ending will be the same as the battle of the 1st hokage & madara at the valley...

naruto and sasuke will fight to the finish and will end both of their lives. by then naruto would have probably impregnated either sakura or hinata and their baby will cary the torch. its a never ending cycle.

Lol like we will find out next week. We still haven't seen Sasuke since he got his EMS. Chances are, we won't find out who Tobi is for 10+ chapters because Kishi will basically have to re-write history to prove that Tobi is not Madara. This will take a lot of time to do, explaining various things like how Madara actually died, why the uchiha were not present for the attack on Konoha, etc..

But ya TOBI IS EITHER IZUNA OR THE ORIGINAL ZETSU!!! Nothing else is even remotely possible. And to be clear, the soul/ consciousness that is in the body of Tobi is either Izuna or Zetsu. He could be using another persons body, but his soul is that of Izuna or Zetsu. Trust me on this ppl

That's why I have a feeling Tobi is really Madara.Just don't know how there are 2 souls & minds of Madara at the same time

Madara could have used the same jutsus the Muu used before fighting the 1st hokage, it splits you in two physically and in power. For all we know obito could be madara son or pupil and took the 1st hokage's DNA when they fought and had Zetsu give it to obito. Obito could have used izangi (sp) when the rock fell on him. Madara didn't switch body's because his soul would still be in a body making him alive and unable to be brought back, like orochimaru being sealed in a genjutsu instead of being killed. Orchimaru can't be brought back with a reviving jutsus because he's not dead, just sealed in Itachi's sword, Itachi might be able to bring him back if he wanted too tho. We can see madara beating Naruto's clone and killing lots of ninjas, that old kage with Gaara fought madara once before and might have everyone escape while he fights him. Everyone on gaara's unit are pretty much tired out, same with other units. Naruto has to rest before he can go up against madara, tobi, kabuto or sasuke, he hasn't rest at all yet. Naruto went from training to the battlefield so he's close to being out of chakra (his own chakra that the fox is taking) and would need time to rest since the 8 tails said it will take longer for his chakra to return if the fox takes it.

The only way Tobi can know so much about madara is if he is Izuna or the Original Zetsu. Now he may be using someone else's body, but the soul/ consciousness that is within Tobi is Izuna or the original Zetsu.
