Here are my theories on what Rinbou is. Last week, I theorized it was Madara's one of a kind doujutsu from his EMS since he seems to be able to use MS techniques with Rinnegan activated or a one of a kind doujutsu from Rinnegan after he experimented with the onmyouton release. The invisible Madara may be the purest form of his Yin energy. Before last week, I believed it was an advanced deva path technique, but this week's chapter has all but thrown that theory out the door. Furthermore, Madara has been unable to use any of the path techniques since he was revived and still wants his other Rinnegan back.

Rinbo or in English "Limbo" is essentially a dimension that exists on the same plane as everyone else but, it cannot be seen or sensed via normal methods.

It's turned out exactly as I had imagined.

Wheel may also reference sharingan since sharingan translates to "mirror wheel eye."
