Seriously, what kind of "fan" are you people if you don't appreciate all this extra intel on one of the manga's central characters?

And I highly doubt the animation quality would improve otherwise. That's just nonsense.

Of course it would improve. There would be more budget and the better teams would be more concentrated to work on actual canon material. That's obvious. Movies also distract the animation team in a major way. Fillers can have an impact on pace, tension, audience involvement and genuine quality of real episodes- and this comes from a general fan of Naruto filler. I love some arcs but hate this current one.

They are ruining the series.. to be honest i rather they just take a break and let the manga moves on further rather than having these entirely unneeded episodes which put Naruto behind all other animes... Naruto can't keep up anymore because of these fillers, they are slowly killing Naruto!

None of this arc has been explicitly referred to as "canon". However, since it involves an integral part of the Narutoverse's past, I couldn't imagine that Kishimoto would let Studio Pierrot do whatever they pleased with this part of the story. There has to be some direction there. Personally, I believe that all of this arc is canon.

Yeah they can just retell the entire story all over again but from Kakashi's perspective. Brace yourselves for ten straight years of fillers, and probably more because they might decide to cover the timeskip where Kakashi discovers the Mangekyo and goes on a journey to discover its mysteries.

honestly people shouldnt be complaning about theses fillers cause technically they are cannon cause they are mentioned in the manga its just we didnt physically see them plus your all making assumptions about which team 7 it is when you dont even know which one it is there were quite a few through the years or it could even be the failed team kakashi had before naruto sakura and saskue ,or it could be the fourth hokages team 7 or a compilation of all the team 7s that ever existed.
