Seems like some people are still confusing about the timeline of Naruto novels which are currently getting an anime adaptation.

So here's the timeline between chapter 699 and 700:

-Chapter 699 Fourth Shinobi War Ends

-Kakashi Hiden:Kakashi becomes the 6th Hokage

-One Year has Passed

-Chapter 699: Sasuke leaves Konoha for his redemption journey.

Two Years has Passed

-Shikamaru Hiden

-The Last Naruto the movie

-Sakura Hiden

-Konoha Hide

-Gaara Hiden

-Sasuke Shinden

more than a decade later

-Chapter 700
