Hayato Date - Naruto's anime director - posted on his twitter that the current plan is for canon to resume after the ANBU arc. Canon is also supposed to continue for the remainder of the year.
However it's always possible there may be some slow paced canon episodes to help avoid catching up

Q: When will there be a new Opening/Ending?
A: The openings and endings go by the following schedule

• First week of January: New Ending
• First week of April: New Opening and Ending
• First week of July: New Ending
• First week of October: New Opening and Ending

Q: When are new episode titles released?
A: There are two specific time frames

• One new title is released between the 7th-10th every month. Animation info for upcoming episodes is also released with this title.
• Three new titles are released around the 22nd-23rd every month

Q: Where can I learn more about the animation staff?

What he said. Its nice that all the stuff not explained in the manga has come to fruition in the anime. Kishi must have some involvement in this. I doubt its just going by whats assumed to have happened with events from the manga.

ANBU Yamato was shown in the advertisements for the arc, so yes.

ANBU Itachi will also be in the arc. He is the only character left to introduce after this, so I think we will see him next after we get Yamato's story.
