I would like to know where exactly this information comes from. Despite many people complaining about this arc being dragged out, it should be impossible for it to last another 1-2 years. The cake is almost finished and they are preparing to bring it to BM. After that the the only thing left is that the Strawhats should escape, which should be doable considering the BM Pirates are under the impression the Sunny already sank and Pudding is pro-Sanji.

And when they escape BM's territory, it really shouldn't take long for the next arc to start. So if Wano would take another 2 years, the only explanation would be that there's a (smaller) arc in between. In itself not necessarily bad, it depends on what the arc is about like for instance they visit Elbaf or we get some more information about what is happening in the world (Reverie, WG, Marines, RA etc.).

Luffy probably needs a powerup or more training; my guess editors would do a time skip instead if this is true.

Big Mom Pirates still know Sunny didn't sank.

WTFFFF?????? Oh hell naw Oda!!

Another two or maybe even 3 years without seeing the straw hats? And no Wano til 2019?

Wano haters and Zoro haters are going to love this.

I really hope this isn’t true.

go go Oda make a 1.5 year long reverie arc :D ... at least :p

I'm really cool with another 10-15 chapters of whole cake, yes it's slow paced but OP always has been and so far I think it's gonna be a blast of an arc once I get to read it all in one go again, it's such an One Piece arc

as for Wano, everyone jumped on the train, I want to read it too but not at the expense of how Oda wants to write the story himself. And I'm looking forward to Reverie about jsut as much as Wano :D I hope we get a fast surprising detour inbetween arcs too

If this is true that would be awesome because that would mean Oda will focus his attention on other characters, maybe the Whitebeard pirates searching crew and probably what is happening at the reverie.

I feel that the World Government and the Marines are due for some build up. A lot has changed since the Timeskip but we barely know what is going on there. I want an update on Akainu and Fujitora, what is happening to the Shichibukai, Lucci and CP-0.

Besides I can't wait to see all the different kingdoms clash.

And first and foremost nobody would accept it if Luffy would enter Wano now and kick ass, if he would go there now he would get owned the same or harder than against Big Mom. And even if there is not that much "in one piece timing" progressing I think it would be more acceptable to readers if he would give it another shout 1-2 years later.

I hope Zoro, Franky, Robin and Usopp's Voice actors have plenty of other work because I guess we won't be seeing them for a looooong time in the anime.

EDIT: Saw that this was confirmed as an official interview. So this is the real deal

**** no this has to be fake, were in WCIs climax how in tf can Wano be stalled for two more years?

What does this mean for the reverie, are the SHs going to participate? Why would they just leave the remainder of the SHs on Wano, or will the reverie be so long we won't see any of the SHs?

Man I was really anticipating Wano too, smfh.

Maybe there might a Mariejois arc if this is true and Luffy might be going there....I think that is a great way for Luffy to get to train with a Yonko level person that might be present at the meeting....maybe Dragon? Who knows also I love zoro fapboy logic “man I bet zoro haters and wano haters love this” so you mean no one, wano is the most anticipated arc of the series FFS.... And people are already biitching before they even know if it is true or how Oda plans to spend the year or 2

Edit: it is confirmed....still don’t hate it....as long as Oda doesn’t prolong this arc I have no problems

I don't get how the same people who were wishing for Luffy to stop running away from fights because he wasn't strong enough to face them are now having a problem with Wano being pushed back as if Luffy and the rest are even ready at this point. If Luffy were to go to Wano now, then he would be doing the same thing he did on WCI and you would still be having problems.

This could be a shift in other places, and maybe even a little bit of time for Luffy to learn more about awakening, so that when it comes time to head to Wano, he can be ready to take on Yonko level commanders.

he already took on craker, and he's taking on katuraki right now, he is already ready for the yonkou commanders just not the yonkou

1v1 He would lose to both Cracker and Katakuri so no he is not ready especially because Luffy is meant to take down Kaido not his commanders in the Wano arc.

Let me rephrase and say take on AND defeat yonko level commanders by himself.

you act like nami did any physical damage to cracker

She didn't but she allowed Luffy to do physical damage to cracker, otherwise he wouldn't be able to beat him. He would've been caught/killed the moment his Gear fourth ran out the first time.

Same deal against Dogtooth, Luffy has shown he is unable to win in a straight 1 v 1 fight. He needs all kinds of workarounds to stand a chance.
