[Discussion] Oda messed up again...

He could've made this a worthwhile chapter instead of the bullcrap we got this week.

All it was was Dressrosa people saying the same thing over and over again.

I get it. He wants to make Luffy look like this great hero and I appreciate all that.

But... it should've had something in it besides all the worship bs likeeeeeee

At the end of the chapter, when everyone's through celebrating, there should've been a ship sailing to the island.

Then next chapter, you have some type of dream sequence where Luffy is talking to some man about being Pirate King and the Will of D.

Luffy is confused and not really interested when the man pipes up and says something along the lines of, "You don't yet have what it takes to be Pirate King!"

Luffy's all like, "**** YOU!" And then it's revealed that the man is Gol. D Rodger when he turns around, a big ass grin on his face.

Anyways, Luffy wakes up and he's all weirded. He looks around and see's Dressrosa destroyed. Confused, he looks around and finds Rebecca who's barely alive.

"Where is everybody?!" Luffy demands. Rebecca coughs. "He... he took them. Your... crew, they're all gone!"

I agree the chapter wasn't good as it should of been. It was too short and this whole chapter should been compressed into half of the chapter with more material like whats going on with sanji or a couple panels of kaido like you suggested. Maybe about doffy resigning from the warlords.

Luffy just finished beating dofy so oda isn't gonna throw in something like kaidou straight away also chapters like these allow the reader to breath and feel satisfied after along battle also it isn't oda style to rush this stuff

That pic is an old silhouette of Big Mam. Don't forget about Burgess. Kuzan is probably save him and the Sunny Team. We proabably wont see them until Chapter 800(chapter 008 is "Nami Appears").

I think this whole chapter could've been done in 5 or 6 pages and it's really something that I think should have been at the end of the last chapter instead of devoting an entire chapter to.

And people are saying "Well we knew we would get this kind of chapter" but that doesn't make it a good chapter. This was a bad chapter.

Some people compare this to dbz and some people think they are comparable.
This isn't a fighting manga. Sure they fight but its about adventure more than action.
Chapters like this remind me of that.
