When i read the chapter, i found that oda is an intelligent writer. He made dof very intelligent. Dof sent "fairies" so that they would steal zoros sword and that too the "treasure of wano" so that both zoro and that samurai would run to get the sword. In the meanwhile luffy hears about the mera mera no mi. Now only swordsman can enter the fight and both swordsman are not there. Neither brook. Now i think that luffy will ask the blind man to win the competition for him or he will go himself with the sword.
This whole shows that oda is good at making storyline. Makes me remember kira of death note.

Not to mention it also got rid of Sanji, another of the monster trio who went to stop Zoro getting lost.

I totally agree, the chapter was done well. The lead up to the Mera Mera being the prize as Luffy and Franky get information out of the grunt and then at the end his face when he hears about it.

Oda is awesome.

hes a great writer and what he has done should be commended :), it's the little things people don't normally think about that lead to the plot being the way it is.

yeah, i think too. Death note was the last manga i read that had such a thing. I was amazed by the thinking of the writer. Oda has revived that same thing again. Its surely going to be very interesting in next few chapters.

This.....Rubber is not a toy! Vulcanized Rubber is worse.

Wax can be useful for something other than candle lighting!

The best part of Oda's writing is working with making the characters who they are with emotional backgrounds and events. To top it off is that things people say are always relevent!

Yeah, I agree he's a genius, but I don't think it will work out like that in the least. I don't think Doflamingo has anything to do with the fairies, and thus he doesn't have anything to do with Zoro and the others getting separated. In fact, if I were to guess, it will be that exact thing that will puncture a hole in Doflamingo's plans, as in, something he didn't account for.

I mean, don't get me wrong, the tournament is part of his plan, yes, just like it is his plan to have a bunch of his family there and having the Mera Mera Fruit as the prize. That is all to lure and defeat Luffy. And I think, if he does enter, he will enter himself. In fact, I don't think doflamingo accounted for the blind swordsman either, and will probably play a part on why doflamingo's plan will fail.

Even though he is indeed very smart, I really don't think those 'fairies' have anything to do with Doflamingo or at least weren't commanded by him to steal Zoro's sword. It goes against his character, why the hell would he want to lure Zoro and the samurai away? Because they're strong? Seriously Doflamingo is not the type of character to consider his own crew weak enough to lose to the Strawhats so that he has do pull off this kind of shenanigans to make sure his crew would win.

i dont know whether the fairies were dof's underlings or not. But surely the plan of oda was to lure away the swordsman and samurai.

I believe that the fairies will be tied with that old geezer that made that huge hole in the ground. They just got to Dressrosa so I'm guessing it won't be until they reveal who the "fairies" are that Oda will then show the true problem that the SHs have to go through. Luffy heard about the df so that would be one of his main priorities. He won't go looking for it directly, I believe that Law will need Luffy to help him out with something but they'll all ultimately meet at the stadium where the battle for the df is being held. I want Luffy to jump straight into the middle of the pit and just let Conquerors Haki rip.
The fairies will play a part in it, maybe it will be uniting everyone before the showdown which is inevitable.
