[Discussion] Oda is a mediocre artist and writer

One Piece is one of the best and one of my fav .

The manga is masterpiece . I don't mind the art , I got used to it .
I catched up One Piece for 1 month , and I say I did good to read a masterpiece manga.

... Reading only 5 chapters and getting to a conclusion, is a sign of immaturity. There is noone in this whole world who would have said its bad, if he had read more than 200 chapters.
And i used to watch naruto when i was eleven years old. Then i started reading manga at 16, it was my best anime.
but as soon as i started reading one piece, i completely forgot about naruto. I read the whole one piece manga in just one and a half months, reading 6-7 hrs everyday. And sometimes, i even forgot to look for the latest naruto manga of naruto due to one piece. and now i read both but every one piece chapter is super super super awesome. And lol i have completely lost interest in naruto now.

That kinda explains it. He had no real ending for his story and just makes it up as he goes along, thats where.."the more well-planned" artist/writers like kishi surpasses him. I didn't mean to insult anyone, maybe I should've used better wordchoice

what? Well planned? A character was shown in chapter 19 or so and was introduced as a legend in chapter 503 or so. So it was just luck? There's lot of this but your mine will blow Because oda is mind blowing:lol:

Wow, I heard about the creator of one piece being sick so i thought id try and read one piece for the first time and boy is it shit, oda is a shitty artist with very basic talents and mediocre as a writer...i dont get why u guys like this?!! The art is terrible! And the writing isnt that much better either!

I swear the art and storyline in soutpark is 3x better than this.

Out of the big three One Piece is the most cartoon-like , this gives Oda to freely implement a lot more variation in character styles , species etc.

Out of the big three One Piece is the least predictable (signs of good writing), there is always something on the edge of our seats

The main characters feel real because of how they are portrayed in flashbacks ; unlike a lot of sad backstories most of them are realistic

One Piece has the best fights.

The most variation in not just looks ; but species (Different species unlike the limited shinobi world , this is because Oda's art style is more free than Kishimoto's very sophisticated art style ), and also in powers : Some of the powers you will never even dream of!!!

And on top of all this Oda finds a way to make almost all characters more badass than anyone in Naruto could ever be , he cares deeply for his fans and it is actually true that on a couple of occasions he read online to see what most fans would like to see before writing (this happened in way back in the day : But it is proof he is one of the most dedicated Mangaka's)

For OP to have so much content and still ongoing clearly means it is great , you probably like most other people only read from chapter 0 to chapter 20 , it takes longer than that to get into it. Oda uses the start as a platform which we learn a lot about the OPV instead of learning over time , the art style takes some getting used to : But can i just say that Madara gets stomped by about 20 characters in OPV.
