Many members dont agree about Obito's current state.
Saying kishi is a horrible author, yet there are millions of Naruto manga sold worldwide, and he still has the same haters who said they would stop reading chapters ago, STILL READING.
But Obito's reasons arent as petty as most haters make it seem.
Think of it, if you had the power to change something, wouldnt you change it?
Obito didnt like how the shinobi world was corrupt. So just how Jiraya set out to make change the best way he knew how, So did Obito.
The tipping point for him was losing the one person he loved the most thanks to the corrupt system.
"Starting war all because of his crush on Rin."
Apparently it wasnt just a crush, if her lost impacted him that much.
Most members on the base dont know the concept of love so of course, most cant understand Obito's character.
But those of us who do have loved ones (gf,bf,parents,siblings,friends) if they were killed thanks to the corrupted world, and if the power to do so was available, people would set out to make change so that it wouldnt happen again.
Madara, Jiraya, Sasuke, Naruto, Obito, all of them want the world to change thanks to major points in their life that made them realize the shinobi world had gone corrupt.
Just because the loss of the person he loved drove him over the edge dosent make him weak, or a dumb reason to start war.
