You know what I find absolutely hilarious........? I've noticed that when new members to this community post up questions or topics that have already been made long ago.....they can expect to get thrashed by approximately....8-12 senior members......BUT WAIT....HERE'S THE KICKER!!!!!:no_ignore: When somebody does try their best to think out of the box and post a topic that has yet to be addressed......no comments O.O............

Maybe I'm just stating the obvious, but I would like all members to know that if you try your best to come up with something creative (which is challenging) you'll get some kind of input from your good ol' buddy OrochiSage (YEAH!) Peace and love.

Somehow I think I've seen this kind of message before..
Most of the topics have already been discussed, or if not people may think about their comment and do not reply immediately which does not mean nobody cares. Topics that have been brought up more than five times are less interesting because they have been discussed before, therefor people who get annoyed by the same question over and over again might react a little harsh.

I comprehend your explanation...it makes tons of sense. I made a post called Summon reversal...(I looked it up too...) it hasn't been spoken about in Naruto discussion forum. It's been viewed like 50 times with no comment whatsoever......but I bet if I had put "Madara's New Do" :What do you think is the reason for the change in hairstyle from Madara Uchiha into Tobi....tht's if you believe they are the same!)....it would get at least 8 comments...but I digress

You're right....I won't make anymore threads like this, because I assumed there was a better section for like complaints that it would be better suited for. Only did it to justify another post I put up....that actually belongs in Naruto discussion. Peace and Love

I believe this question was intended for me......(clear's throat)

I would first go back and read most of the post that have already been posted so I can get a good idea of what has been mentioned and what has not....(at least an estimate), then proceed to pick my brain for interested untapped ground that would spark others to do the same.

Most new members just need a good word and to be shown..."good topic but this has already been mentioned.....go here and look this up because we're trying not to be so redundant with certain discussions." Peace and Love!

Yes, but there are a few more cordial responses than, "STFU noob. We already said that".

You could:
1. Ignore the post. If there is a problem, or something breaking the rules, the mods will take care of it.

2. Make a link to one of the other threads on this topic that you like best. This will get the new guy in the loop and maybe revive the old thread if there are new ideas to be shared.

3. Summarize the previous discussions and continue on. At this point anyone else who sees the thread can feel free to exercise either of the previous options.

Sure there are other options. If I don't like a topic I usually just ignore it. I did not say there were no other options, I just used what is mentioned in the first post, senior members 'telling' a new member that the topic is already discussed. However this can be considered as stereotypical since not every senior member will behave that way.

But no apparently not.

Also a little point to note I wouldn't care if a "noob" made a thread about "Itachis Gift" if they actually put some fckn effort into it.

I mean making a thread with the first post as:

"What do you think it is....I think it could be something to defeat Sasuke"

Or something a little more ignorant I mean come on a fckn theory would be nice not just a question to a fckn topic that started a YEAR ago possibly more.

You realize some of these kids are probably like 12, right? It takes the same effort to type a helpful message as an inflammatory one.

And even if they are just ignorant, here's a tip. Arguing with the ignorant is pointless. The only way to do it is to lower yourself to their level, where they will beat you through their experience there.

You have a valid point, but what you seem to have overlooked is the fact that, the people who post in such threads as you've highlighted are for the most part new members, and don't overlook the fact that there are tons of people who doesn't use English as their first language, and for the most part very young, so it's no surprise when you find threads like yours are in the weeds and, silly threads like "who will naruto end up with" created for the hundredth time has hits and posts.

As for the reason the senior members participation or the lack of it could be due to many reasons, I've been in the forum for over 2.5 years and if you look at my post count it's very low, I personally tend to stay away from noobish threads (pardon me for using the word) for the simple reason that no matter how many times you discuss prove these theories wrong or show error the chances are likely that they will not listen, so why bother ?? better to save you breath
