Forgive me on any slight errors with this guys. Any clarification (on the Kakashi flashbacks) will be wonderful for me.

During Obito's battle with Naruto and Sasuke, small flashbacks of Kakashi start appearing. Now I'm not sure if this is what Obito is thinking, or if these are thoughts Kakashi himself is stating and Obito is managing to hear them. Regardless of that, it seems as Obito's will is failing and he is starting to actually doubt his thoughts. In this chapter, he pretty much trying to belittle Naruto for continuing to battle to maintain his unwavering will, but I don't think it's working out for him. Right now, I'm hoping that Obito's beliefs will continue not to change and remain strong. It just wouldn't feel right to me if Naruto (or Kakashi) manages to talk him out of his goals. It would seem too generic for me as that has happened with most of the villains.

To sum it up, what I am trying to say is that Obito's will is faltering and it looks like Naruto might be able to TnJ (Talk no Jutsu) him. I hope that will not be the case, but what do you guys think?

Any explanation as to WHY? U_U

I believe that he might got Talk no jutsu but the moment he will, it will no longer matter. What I mean? That he is going to be with one foot in his grave and so we're going to have the epic fight. In a sense it might be more tragic that way because just when he seems to have an epiphany but he will no longer be able to do anything as he is either going to be killed by Madara or taken over by Juubi. In that end, we're going to have an epic fight without having a massive revival all over again and at the same time it will become more tragic.

Yeah I can see that happening. The question is will Naruto do it, or Kakashi? I saw Kakashi in the chapter, but I'm not sure what to make of that. Also, I cannot wait to see how Madara will attempt to take over Obito. I doubt he is going to give Juubi up so easily.

Well Kakashi was necessary to this chapter because as Obito's old comrade he knows better than anyone how he really feels so he acted like a vessel to inform the readers.

Obito will and resolve is faltering because No matter what He dose Naruto keeps coming back it almost like it was with Kabuto being in Itachi Genjutsu. Obito dose something and to no avail because Naruto's Will keeps blocking Obito from His Goal.

Ah okay. I was wondering what he was doing there since the last we heard of him, he was still in Kamui.

Indeed. The fact that Naruto refuses to give (despite the almost-attempts) up, is starting to wear down Obito. That's why I am thinking that he might get Talk no Justu'ed soon.

Obito spend about 2 decades in darkness, patiently waiting for this day. Only someone with a INCREDIBLY strong will could endure so much loneliness, sorrow and pain.
I will hate Kishi if he screws with him, a 16 year old foxboy changing someone like Obito who was pursuing his goal for more than 2 decades would be ridiculous. Obito has the strongest will and most persistence in the entire manga as we saw so far.

Someone on youtube wrote something that I really liked, to sum it up: The current ninja system is corrupt, manipulative and evil. Naruto wants to lead this system (becoming Hokage), Sasuke wants to change this system and Obito wants to erase any need for this system.

Strongly agree with this, want Obito to win. Thats never gonna happen but I'm still on Obitos side.

I remember a member named "shelke" (I think that was his name) made a well written post about how corrupt the ninja system is. It made me rethink about how "fair" the shinobi system is. I do think free will is what is causing the lack of peace, since as long as everyone has free will, there will be someone with the will to do evil. However, I want to see how Obito can change the system, instead of just repressing it. I don't want him to change his mind because of a ninja who's been gifted with luck and power since birth.

doubt tnj, in a way maybe kishi is still deciding on Madara or obito as main villian or possibly even having juubi take over madara ( after he steals juubi from obito).

tnj on obito or madara i can sorta see obito. but madara getting tnj be really awful.

the only tnj i wana see is Naruto tnj Juubi/god tree ( w/o a jink), but only a tnj when naruto or "Shinobi bout to give final blow. then tnj , maybe God tree explains why it went on a rampage after the fruit was eating, human/Shinobi reconciliation.

Obito's getting desperate to bring down Naruto's will before he mentally collapses himself.

3 separate TnJs didn't work, a combined TnJ from Naruto, Minato, and Kakashi would do him in.

Obito's will has been faltering since he killed Neji. Both Kakashi and Madara acknowledged Obito wasn't going all out on Naruto, as well as every time Obito gives a Nihilism speech, it's at a moment when he could actually kill Naruto.

He wants to be defeated by Naruto though, this is why TNJ has not worked. He lost his Will of Fire in his teenage years, which was the basis for all of his philosophies, but his older self is the one who would do anything to achieve those philosophies. If Obito loses to Naruto, kid Obito wins. Obito knows this now, and is probably okay with it, as long as Naruto has power to defeat him. This is probably why he has stalled so much, and what the meaning of Kakashi's statements were. Besides, he's past the point of no return to be TNJ'd unless it's at his moment of death.

That's just my theory or attempt at an explanation, but it seems like a much more viable ending than TNJ considering the character and his anti-hero qualities.

Actually, that scenes with Kakashi weren't flashbacks, but Kakashi sitting in the Kamui Dimension right now thinking about that (after he finished stitching himself up last chapter).

It seems more like he has already been TNJ and just wants Naruto to beat him, even last chapter when Naruto told him off, he seemed even angrier then before, its like Kakashi said earlier, Obito sees Naruto as his kid self and wants him to lash out at what he has become.
