That is what i think happens.The sharingan according to my theories are basically just miniature versions of the Juubi's eye.They have the same designe and red color.

On page 13 of this chapter provided by NB, you can see that Obito doesn't have his Sharingan anymore on the panel where he says "..Sen..sei...". Most logical conclusion is that Obito did, in fact, use Izanagi.

he said he was going to use the juubi's chakra to boost his eyes to the next level and have his eye reflect off the moon showing the juubi's eye so probably both of his eyes might change into it unless he lost his right eye

I just reread the chapter and now I also think he used Izanagi. Because Sasuke was confident that he was dead. He said: "It was quick in the end"
