No, she was not just a girl... I mean it was someone spicial to Obito. It was a person who was always there for him, who has always believed in him and who was the love of his life. Every moment he was alive and every breath he took was for protecting Rin. Even on his last mission he threw away the Uchiha name and it's honor and went to save Rin. And after he was saved by Madara, the thing that kept him going was the fact he will reunite with Rin and Kakashi, the fact that he will be there for her and the fact that he can continue his life beside her. And after the painful recovery and after so much time, he was avle to see her again and her tragic death. I mean, all he ever lived for was taken away from him and there was not a point of his life. And then Madara told him about the infiniti Tsukuyomi(probably not spelled correctly) and he found a meanin again. He was givena chance to reunite with her and to be with her again. I think it is really heart breaking how great sufferings can even bring the nicest people to become villans, but that is how it goes i guess. So I hope i helped you understand this. Because if it is ok for Naruto to be screaming Sasuke come back for 400 chapters and reunite with his friend, then Obito can most definitely have his opinion about Rin and their reunion as well. I do not approve his actions i say i understand where he is going for and that we do not live in a black and white world
