Obito's mangekyou sharingan

Obito obtained his mangekyou sharingan because he killed Rin. Izuna/Madara convinced him to do that. There is no way Obito did this all by his own. Who repaired his body and saved his life? Zetsu? Could be but i think he is an experiment too and he can't create himself. I am sure Orochimaru has something to do with it.
