Why wouldn't it? Don't all of the elements of 2D world also exist in 3D world? Each higher dimension would include all elements of those lower dimensions.

It's all still there they are just operating on a different plane. Think of how when they attacked obito's body in the Kamui dimension it still impacted his 3 dimensional existence. Higher dimensions include the lower dimensions.
