Obito's Infinite Tsukuyomi

This has been bothering me for a while now.
I was wondering if his Infinite Tsukuyomi (IT) is a jutsu, then If Obito were to die then wouldn't the jutsu not work anymore? Like most jutsu when the user dies the jutsu would disappear e.g if Kabuto were to die then the Edo Tensai's would disappear
I'm probably missing something :s

Isn't exactly the case since SO6P used Chibaku Tensei to seal the Gedo Mazo and that Chibaku Tensei was still there even after the SO6P's death.

no it will not since the infinite Tsukuyomi will be cast on the moon and the moon will then cast it on everyone else. Atleast thats what i think.

I would think it would stop. If he was the jinkuriki of the bijuu then it would be released and would cancel the jutsu. If everybody was under it then the only way he'd die was by old age though.

I/T will end if obito is killed because to put it simply, someone needs to be alive for the jutsu to remain active (unlike edo tensei).

no if the user died, not only would there chakra control cease the way it was needed for tsukoyumi but jubbi would be released from the host, making suck a chara extensive tech impossible.
