Obito's 'fake' ideals are actually common in the real world

It seems that Obito believes in Existential nihilism which is the belief that life and other objects bear no significant value. The belief is that humans as a race have been 'thrown' into the world without knowing the answer to 'why' and in the process have to invent meaning to their existence themselves.

Existential nihilists claim that, to be honest, one must face the absurdity of existence, that he/she will eventually die, and that both religion and metaphysics are simply results of the fear of death.

[From Wikipedia] According to Donald A. Crosby, "There is no justification for life, but also no reason not to live. Those who claim to find meaning in their lives are either dishonest or deluded. In either case, they fail to face up to the harsh reality of the human situation".

This is very similar to the beliefs in which Obito (and likely Madara) bear about the reality of the Shinobi World being worthless. Whilst nihilism is considered an abnormal way of thinking, not many people have considered it to be a sign of insanity, more like a sign of a deep philosophical thinker.

The ways in which Obito and Madara think are not completely abnormal as this belief has been passed down since the Shakesperian era.

So in conclusion, Obito seems to want to go through with Tsuki No Me because he sees no point I'm humanity's existence and wants to create a world in which Kakashi, Minato, Rin and him and all of humanity can live in, which they cannot fear death.

I think this has already been brought up if i'm correct...obito being a nihilist and all.I think that obito is not just an existential nihilist but his view on the world is nihilistic in every aspect, may that be moral,metaphysical,epistemological(extreme skepticism about the ways of the world) or any thing.He just wants to get rid of the pointless pain and suffering of "humans".

Some people find the discovery that there's no meaning to anything quite comforting. If there's no meaning, then it also doesn't mean anything that there's no meaning. That second part is important because some people will erroneously, upon discovering that there is no meaning, think that means something, because it's natural to add meaning...

Even if Obito and Madara believe this and create a new world because this one is "worthless" it's still not going to make it worth anything. What if what Kakashi was trying to tell Obito is that sure this world might be worthless, but the new world he's trying to make is even more worthless.
