Anyone else feeling the deja vu in the air?
After reading the last few chapters i'm starting to notice small similarities in the way Negato + Obito think..
When Nagato was first introduced to us we perceived him to be this ruthless rogue Shinobi angry at the world for the injustice's he had suffered through, I remember watching how he slaughtered Jiraiya without so much as blinking an eye and then went on to invade the hidden leaf village causing an untold number of casualties and ultimately leading to it's destruction. Through out it all Nagato stuck to his ideals that Pain was necessary for growth and that destruction was needed to better the future. It was only during his battle with Naruto that Nagato began second guessing himself, (evidenced by his constant attempts at trying to get Naruto to agree with him) Finally after talking with Naruto, Nagato had a sudden realization, changed his mind and decided to right his wrongs by sacrificing himself and leaving the future in Naruto's hands.
Die hard Obito fan's would like you to believe that he's this dark, goth dude angry at the world, causing chaos wherever he goes purely for the fact that he's a 'badass' this is not the case at all, Obito's had his fair share of injustice from a young age, his mind has been warped and has lost his way, just like Nagato had. this may even be the reason why Obito appointed Nagato leader of the Akatsuki, he probably related to him on a deeper sense,
We've seen from that last few chapters that Obito is starting to second guess himself in the same way Nagato had and is constantly trying to make Naruto understand his despair, again just like Nagato did. You have to ask yourself, if Obito was still 100% with this whole eye of the Moon plan, why would he be constantly seeking confirmation from an enemy? The flashback's alone are evidence enough that Obito's starting to rethink everything, wondering if he's doing the right thing, you guys see where this is going..
My point is Naruto is all about the premise of Good overcoming Evil and Shinobi returning to the right path after losing their way, my theory is that Obito will eventually have an epiphany and decide to right some of the wrongs he's played apart in by helping to stop Madara before eventually dying an Honorable death and leaving the future's well being in the hand's of Naruto.
But then, where does that leave Sasuke?...
