I admit that Tobi(not Obito) was really charismatic, but after we knew his identity, it seems that it's where he started to lose in charisma. That's what one could think, but that's not quite actually.
Beside the charisma he had as Tobi,in terms of power he was never shown to be that overwhelming strong in this manga
I always was supporting the idea Obito would be the final villain even after knowing the man under the mask despite deeply knowing that it may not happen simply because it's Obito, the loser, but now after latest chapter, i think truth needs to be said concerning his character in this manga
When you think about it, Obito always got beaten in all the fights he was in. Minato destroyed him in seconds, Konan almost killed him, now he got fodderised by Kakashi. Even fodders like Fuu and Torune managed to take his arm. Itachi even once stated he is just a pathetic shell of his former self, something that he himself stated once again in the war. So far i always tried to forget about these small events because of the overpoweredness of a jutsu like kamui and circumstancial events(Konan plan for example), but truth needs to be said, Obito never was shown to be that strong in this manga to begin with. Despite having overpowered jutsu like kamui, having Senju DNA and even taking Rinnengan(he practically never used btw), he got his ass kicked by a non-Uchiha he gave his sharingan long time ago, said non-Uchiha who always had the luxury to beat him when they were young and curiously was smh defeated once again the same way it was in the past
