Obito's Attack

When Obito attacked the Leaf, did anyone else see or sense him besides Kushina and Minato? If so, then why didn't anyone go after him or try to gather any more information about him? I know he used to Kamui to get away but I wonder why ANBU or Root never launched an investigation.

Who could have defeated Obito during this time period?
(The time period when he attacked; take or give 3 years)

I don't think anyone else knew about him. I think Minato and Kushina were the only ones who knew about the "Masked Man". Don't forget, the village thought it was a freak occurance, a natural disaster, there were very few people who thought or knew the 9Tails attack was purposely caused by someone else.

And I don't think anyone could have taken Obito at that time, except maybe Nagato within the 3 years after the attack. That was probably the time where he started gaining mastery over the Rinnegan

I think Nagato may have been able to kill him too, but he would probably be killed himself from sheer exhaustion.

Maybe no one else did? Why do you think the Uchiha massacre happen? The attack was one of the reasons. They had no clue who did it.

I think Nagato may have been able to kill him too, but he would probably be killed himself from sheer exhaustion.

Possibly, he would have to try and make Obito reach his 5 min limit which would probably take alot of effort. Nagato is an Uzumaki though so it's possible he could last that long. He then runs the risk of slowing up since Obito takes minimal chakra using Kamui. At that time, the fight could go either way.
