I don't think we know if the Rinnegan can be sacrificed to Izanagi, and if it can, perhaps it's the only eyes the Juubi will answer to or some plot. If he didn't use Izanagi though, Obito will be insanely overpowered and he could auto win with the Moon's Eye Plan. I don't see that happening, but I'd be interested if Kishimoto can make it work without Obito becoming another "I'm holding back" villain.
