The spotlite has been on Sakura more than the other Konoha 11. I wonder if this is foreshadowing.

Obito has been religiously trying to convince Naruto to join him.

I think Obito will beat Kakashi (not necessarily killing). And, then he'll kill Sakura to replicate the situation that he was in. Naruto and Sakura's relationship it almost a mirror image of his and Rin's (except she was more timid). He'll do this in the hopes that Naruto when faced with the same situation, will become just like him.

But Neji's death had a parallel there. With his father's death. Coming full circle with understanding his father's desire to protect Konoha and the Hyuugas, despite the other issues. So did Neji. From hating Naruto to die protecting him.

To be completely honest, the logical thing would be for him to off Hinata or target her. Not even just to break Naruto's will and send him into madness, but because she's one of the reasons he failed the last time.

I'm not quite sure if Obito knows the dynamics of the relationship he has with Sakura. The only one he can concretely say he understands is the one with Hinata. Shipping parallels aside, I'm not quite sure why he would target Sakura in any way.

What? What does this have to do with Sasuke? He isn't the one Naruto loves, nor he is the one who has loved Sakura every since the beginning of this manga.

I know all that, but I meant that Naruto got his ideals questioned already when Neji died, and he got snapped out of his blue screen of death, he's not giving up, this would just be repetitive.
