So we know Madara forces Obito to use the Rinne Tensei at the end of the latest chapter. But in this page

Obito tells Kakashi that even though he may have defeated him, he won't win the war. Then Obito travels back to the battlefield.

So is this not implying that before Obito dies, he wanted to revive Madara to let him carry out the Infinite Tsukyomi plan? So did Madara have to force him to do it?

Just confused.

But also, we know that their first original plan they came up with before Madara's death was to have Nagato sacrifice himself to revive Madara, so Obito and Madara would both be alive.

But know that Madara came back through Edo Tensei, did they have some sort of mutual understanding that Obito was going to sacrifice himself to revive Madara or did Madara not even trust him to do so?

Which brings me to another question: Do you need to sacrifice yourself to use Rinne Tensei?

I think by willingly going to Madara after his statement of winning the war that yes, he fully intends to sacrifice himself for the plan. Obito isn't dumb by any means, so it leaves me to think that he knew this was going to happen. Could be wrong though, maybe he was hoping for Madara to heal him.

I think the user does have to sacrifice themselves to do rinne tensei. It is unclear because of what Konan said back when Nagato used it though. It's possible that Nagato was able to use it on a much larger scale than Obito thanks to him being an Uzumaki. Also, the people Nagato brought back all had just been killed recently. Madara died many years ago.

Before they lost control of the Juubi, Obito said to Madara something along the lines of "Lets make it clear that we aren't friends, you need me to use rinne tensei and make you alive" so yes, they had an agreement.

Answer:

No. Nagato died because he didn't have enough chakra to revive Konoha entirely, so in exchange of this lack of chakra he had to sacrifice lifeforce.

So, in order to be able to revive Madara without dying in the process, Obito should have enough chakra reserves to avoid death.

So this brings the question... Is Obito able to survive now under his current condition?

Answer: Plausible. If Naruto or Minato manages to give Obito some of the Kyuubi's Chakra, he could survive. And as far as we know, there still are some things that must be settled between Obito and Minato... so the plot is ready for Obito's survival.

maybe he expected Madara to heal him?

And he wanted to continue fighting in a dimension where he can use Kamui

Now we know why Madara was smirking when Obito said "we're not friends"

Since it has been suggested that Nagato could only revive those that recently died in his condition (If Nagato was much healthier, he probably could've revived Jiraiya), I think this would mean all of Konoha that recently died.

I think Obito planned being the 10 tails Jink. He never wanted Madara revived.
