In this week's chapter, we found out that Obito is able to negate any form of Ninjutsu, while being vulnerable to Senjutsu. However, in one of the previous chapters; chapter 638, moments after he became the Jinchūriki of the Jūbi, Obito was able to negate Senjutsu, in the form of Hashirama's

As you can see in the page above, Hashirama asserts that his is still working.

However, in the next page, Obito renders the technique useless by completely demolishing it:

He didn't negate it, he crushed it with sheer force.

Perhaps that was just Obito releasing his Chakra in a shockwave? Like how Tobirama cracked a wall with only his Chakra output.

It's probably due to the fact that that particular technique was not intangible, as most seen Sage techniques are.

He used pure chakra. Onmyoudon is a technique, not known if Ninjutsu or Senjutsu that turns every Ninjutsu to nothing. And at that time he didn't know how to control his powers yet. Now he does.

That's not what being effected by Senjutsu means, just cause it can hurt him doesn't mean it will stop him, Senjutsu isn't some great weakness its just the only thing that MIGHT have an effect on him.

Its not like Senjutsu will magically stop him.

That might be it.

It is not a weakness, indeed, but he is vulnerable to it.

I guess the OP could also say that when Konan doused herself with water to keep fire from burning her, she was "negating ninjutsu."

Obito broke the gates because he was strong.

Remember the Juubi got from Obito the ability to focus its power.By focusing its power it can find the weak point to break it.

This may have been because Obito wasn't completely in sync with the Juubi.

After coming in sync later with it, he now carries the Juubi's own weakness with him.

He wasn't negating Senjustu he overpowered the barrier imposed on him.

This doesn't mean he can't fend off senjustu it means its the only form of power that is suitable to fight against him

Chapter 638's Obito is different from Chapter 642's Obito.

Take this in mind.
