Naruto's specialty since part 1 is Art of misdirection, it's a cunning technique which uses feints and fronts to confuse the opponent to land fatal blows towards his opponents. Did it ever occur to you he was fighting two hokages with a summoning he just intelligently stole at the age of 13? Naruto's best feat at that age was summoning the boss toad to beat shukaku while Tobi/obito went there empty handed before summoning the kyubi that was under the leaf villages control. Even Minato himself said that he saw through all his moves and only madara had that kind of feat at the age of 13 years old.

It was a prepared trap that nobody had a counter to. Once inside the abyss, konan was able to explode letter tags instantaneously. That jutsu is stronger than the 2nd Hokages tandem explosive tags.
