The chakra of the Bijuu is simply being transmitted to Obito's Pain Rikudou through the Gedo Mazo's chakra chains. Sealing the paths won't seal the Bijuu itself.

We saw him use the full bijuu in battle though. That makes me think that the chakra wasn't remote, but that they were pulled our of gedou temporarily. Didn't he have Gedou swallow them back up as well? My memory's a bit fuzzy.

Believe me, before Izanami was introduced, I was tarding on Obito and Izanagi. But Izanami was introduced purely as a counter to Izanami, so... Itachi is that much more of a threat to Obito. And there's no sense in generalizing. Amaterasu was countered, but that doesn't mean it could be countered in all circumstances. For instance, with a clone feint? Directly on the eye? Remember, Sasuke looked away at the last moment, and it hit Obito's shoulder. That was not Itachi's design.

Frankly the whole concept of them both confuse me at times... but anyways ... True But if it did indeed do any damage His shoulded would of been burnt which means he can react to it and counter it quickly .. Yes a blow to the eye( if he was not already intangible) would be bad .. but with that mask on it would be hard ..

Just because Zetsu said that is true, does not mean that it is true, as with all character statements. That's like when they said Amaterasu burns as hot as the sun, when it clearly doesn't. We haven't seen feats from healthy Itachi, so anything said about his powers are just assumptions.
