Obito used Kamui without unlocking the mangekyou

Well it was implied. Relevant or not, his choice of words did have an impression. Not too lucky yes, but then again he was still alive... although barely.

And how do you propose he survived? By activating a Mangekyou technique without meeting the requirement aka watching someone close to him die or killing them himself?

nt really i'm nt here to argue how exactly he was able to awaken/use the kamui, just stating tht him using it is the only option. As i said, not everything is known about the sharingan as well as the capability of their users the Uchiha

He didn't awaken it until Rin was killed in front of him along with Kakashi, Obito vicariously murdered Rin through Kakashi and awakened it. There is no other explanation besides Obito being somewhat lucky, even Madara called it a "miracle". There is nothing more left to interpret.

Obito never activates his EMS for intangibilty though. He only recently started activating it and when he does it's to do that reverse tornado where his dimension spills into this dimension. To me it like when a ships hull breaks in a sci fi movie and everything inside the ship (pocket dimension) shoot out into space, only "space" in this case is the real world.
Sometimes Obito adds fire jutsu to the force of this and sometimes he just let's giant shuriken fly out freely.
There is already an example of this in Shisui of the body flicker. Danzo used that sharingan against Sasuke to do the body flicker jutsu when he captured Karin.. No ems, just a sharingan tech. It's OP but Obito can go intangible with his sharingan.

How could he know before Obito even awakened it?! Are you daft? These are Madara's own words: "It was nothing short of a miracle that you survived!" <that is what was implied, not your asspull Kamui with a regular Sharingan. /your brain.

lol i think in your blind rage you misread my post..i said he knew nothing about his ability so of course he would call it a miracle when in reality it was skill all along

Either way, he didn't acquire Kamui before he saw Rin die.

He could have actually unlocked it there.. in his near death state and just didn't realize.. sasuke unlocked his sharingan and didn't know as well.....Madara said it seemed like he just slipped through and fell into his underground cave.....at this time madara didnt know he had a ms ability so he just said "or something" the 2nd time could have just been a reactivation triggered by emotions
