I apologise for bring up the past, I bet it has been discussed many times before but at the time I was not a member of NB and anyway the war is a big history lession.
I was reading the old manga about Kakashi and Obito and a couple of things got me thinking
First there was the fact that Obito was pretty useless, are all Uchiha useless until they awaken the Sharingan? we didn't see Itachi, Madara or any other Uchiha apart from Obito and Sasuke before they got their Sharingan. Obito is similiar to Naruto when he started out, Kakashi and Minato had to save Obito all the time just as Kakashi and Sasuke had to save Naruto a lot. Obito showed no skill UNTIL he got his Sharingan, Sasuke was top of his class but didn't show much skill apart from when they had just set off to take the bridge builder home and those two mist shinobi attacked them. I'm sure the Uchiha before the Sharingan should of had some more fighting moves because it seemed like both Obito and Sasuke were just waiting for their Sharingan to come in and then they would have something to put towards combat.
Secondly when Obito finally got his Sharingan instead of the one tomoe he had two which kind of confused me, is the Sharingan really that easy to go up in levels? is it common that Uchiha skip levels with the Sharingan? did Itachi just skip straight to 3 tomoe? but I also thought that because Obito is so similiar to Naruto that Obito had such emotion that he wanted to save Rin so bad and felt so poorly of himself saying things like "crybaby" and "trash" that his emotions just gave him that extra power to skip levels of the Sharingan in which case why didn't Sasuke? Sasuke showed much more skill than Obito and was in a life threatening position with Naruto, from my memory even though Sasuke didn't show it often the amount of training he did with Naruto competting to get to the top of the tree by running up it he begin to care for Naruto, with skill, the will to live and the will to protect Naruto shouldn't Sasuke of skipped levels straight to 2 tomoe atleast?
Thirdly I never really paid attention before because I too just expected Obito to be dead but in the few pages after Obito was crush/buried it showed him in darkness asking if he was dead and on the third to last page it just had a black area with spots which doesn't exactly show him dead, just shows a blankness, I think maybe Obito was ment to be Tobi and that most of us didn't pick up on it and thought that Tobi being Obito was actually just random, seems pretty planned when you really go over it and think about it.
I know a lot of you won't read this because it's really long but I would really like to see what people think about Obito going from no Sharingan to 2 tomoe straight away. Thanks for reading if you did
