But curiously Obito directly awoke 2tomoe Sharingans?
Why was Obito different than others? Did he had a greater potential? Is it this potential Madara saw coming? Is it the reason Zetsu said he now knew why Madara chose him?

The guy even had the potential to control and summon the Kyubi a feat only realised by Madara and only when he was an adult.
Madara was considered as a rare genius in the Uchiha clan who even was already able to kill experienced Senjus:

When you really compare Obito to Madara in terms of skills and performance at the same age, you begin to realise Madara was like a fodder genius compared to him
His MS jutsu is very hax. That offers him the greatest defense in this manga making him pretty much untouchable and a one-shot attack in close combat. And when you realise the guy only has one of his MS, you begin to ask yourself how powerful the guy could have been if he had both his eyes
