Sorry if I'm double posting this thread but I feel like I answered my own question. Please bear with me and i wont dissapoin u. I was talking about a possible reason on why obito attacked the village. I couldn't understand his reason behind the attack. I mean if everything was so planned out by Madara and the Kyuubi was a big part of that plan then why risk losing his biggest piece in the board? Did he do it out of spite? I'm pretty sure Madara did not tell him to attack the Leaf and much less with the Kyuubi. At least with another demon just in case things went badly. The way I see it is that he placed all his chips in the table to destroy the Leaf. In doing so he disobeyed a direct order from Madara in the worst way. Meaning he doesn't follow Madara like some brainwashed fanboy. Even now that their fighting the shinobi world he could decide to do something differently and cost them the war but he is following orders. So this takes me back to his intentions and what he was feeling at the time. I concluded that he was trying to commit suicide in his own way. Think about it: he brought out his biggest weapon to the battle disobeying Madara, he said he ddnt care anymore. He was trying to go out and taking out the leaf in doing so. Its sad but that's how it looks like.

I think he just wanted to take control of nine tails so he could start out in taking al the bijju. That was the whole akatsuki plan anyways. so i think that's what he was trying to do. and to kill the 4th Hokage.

You do make a valid point. I also believe Obito will screw Madara over due to Obito's stupidity. Then again he did manage to technically kill the 4th hokage who was becoming a legend.

He wanted to kill two birds with one stone so to speak; capture the Kyuubi and destroy Konoha. Both Obito and Madara hate the village so it makes perfect sense. Too bad they failed in a major way, LOL!

It all comes back to that night, doesn't it? Why did he leave his frienemy alive after he had just chidori'd his love in the chest. Shouldn't he have at least taken the eye back? He got over his anger pretty quickly and only took it out on some fodder ninja?

So why did he go after the Leaf Village? Couldn't be revenge, how is the Leaf any different than Kakashi? Couldn't be he wanted to make it weaker, you can see he has no fear of the entire Allied Shinobi Forces. The answer may be that he was compelled to do these things. So, what would have an interest in the events of that night? What stage was set by those events? What did Obito fail to mention about those events when relaying the story to Sasuke? Couldn't be his involvement that led to the Uchiha massacre. He freely admitted participation in the Uchiha massacre. What else?

Remember that it took all of the tailed beasts to be sealed in order (from the first tail to the last) for the Gedou Mazou not to retain its balance and not break down, so therefore he was not technically breaking any orders. In fact if he had retained control of the Kyuubi it would of been beneficial to him because it would enable him to capture the other tailed beasts that much faster.

He didn't expect to have the Minato remove the Kyuubi's contract from him, he was quite taken aback, but his overconfidence was his downfall.

His intentions in relation to that attack were seemingly control to control the Kyuubi as well as hatred for what happened to Rin.

Obito will see himself in Naruto, and eventually turn on Madara as to help the Shinobi Alliance beat Madara and the Juubi.
