Nice theory, but I disagree. I have my own theory which completely disproves the Elder-Younger Son parallel between Naruto and Sasuke; this applies to Obito as well.
- The Younger Son was the progenitor of the Senju
- The Older Son was the progenitor of the Uchiha
- Rikudou their "father"
Seems straight forward right? Well it's more complicated. It's clear Kishimoto isn't a geneticist, but it is biologically impossible to have such an even split between the son regarding their prominent features (The Eyes and the Body evenly distributed between each). That inherently rules out the possibility of it being a natural birth process. Rikudou was said to be able to create anything out of nothing with COAT. He did it with the Juubi, BUT ON HIS DEATHBED. With such an even split of Yin to Yang (Elder to Younger) he had to use Creation of All Things. But there's another thing we know; He sealed the Juubi in the moon in his old age, meaning he still had the Juubi inside him when he created his sons. His main chakra source was the Juubi, so using COAT had to have an effect (Juubi's chakra) on the creation of his sons.
- We've seen that the Juubi can use Mokuton techniques and has a hard body (Senju)
- We know it has an eye reminiscent of the Sharingan because of the Tomoes (Uchiha)
What do we know about Madara and Hashirama? Madara had the highest form of Sharingan (Peak of Elder Son) and Hashirama had Mokuton (Peak of Younger son), both things that correspond to the persona of the Juubi itself. The Elder Younger parallel was done with Madara and Hashirama; Hashirama spreading peace through love by equaling nations power by spreading the Bijuu's whereas Madara wants to subjugate the world in a Genjutsu (Control is synonymous with Power), both paralleling the Sons.
Naruto IS NOT A SENJU. It is explicitly stated in the manga that the Uzumaki's are relatives to the Senju. This would imply that they have a common link down the road from the original bloodlines. It can't be the Younger Son because that would make them descendants of the Senju, which as we know from Manga fact, they are not. The only plausible link left is Rikudou. This leads to another possibility: The Uzumaki are then related to the Uchiha. Our first clue was when we saw the Elder Son's eye; It is an exact replica of the Uzumaki swirl (Which was the symbol of their country); This can't be coincidence. Another subtle hint was when Sasuke; An Uchiha, was needed to help unseal AN UZUMAKI SEALING TECHNIQUE AT THE NAKA SHRINE (Shiki Fujin where they revived the 4 Hokages). But again, this is a mere possibility. If anything, this adds to the Sage=Uzumaki theory and we already know from the Bijuu's that Naruto parallels Rikudou, and we know Naruto is an Uzumaki, so to solidify the parallel, he will also probably be Uzumaki.
Last but not least; the only two "Saviors" or Prophecy children, stated in the manga, are Nagato and Naruto; Both Uzumaki's. We know that there were two possibilities: Being a Harbinger of Peace or Harbinger of Destruction. Nagato was the destruction, Naruto the Harbinger of Peace. The last savior not seen in the manga? Rikudou. See an Uzumaki trio? Quite possibly since two of the three stated saviors are Uzumaki. Two of these people have/had the Rinnegan, so Naruto may get it to fulfill the prophecy (Since it is stated in a time of great peril; The war, the eyes will be bestowed on a chosen one: Naruto/Nagato to be either a Harbinger of Destruction or Harbinger of Peace).
