Looking with some perspective, yes, Obito started war because of Rin, but that's not the main reason.

Obito turned to the dark side because of Rin. Consequence of this, knowing how shinobi system did work, he started the war. Good purpose, bad means.

- Madara? No, it was not due Hashirama, it was due the truth he discovered.

- Kabuto? Yes, he is a weird snake.

- Orochimaru? I still don't think he is good. He is helping for his own interests.
