Obito Should Have Chosen Akatsuki as Six Paths

The Jinchuuriki are cool and all but how much better and fitting would the Akatsuki be? It be like this.

Deva Path: Kakuzu
Asura Path: Sasori
Preta Path: Kisame
Naraka Path: Itachi
Animal Path: Deidara
Human Path: Hidan

And they still have their abilities. This would be the most OP.

Like Deidara blowing up and coming back with King of Hell.

I think this would have been a great plan, but maybe Kishi thought we would complain because Naruto has already fought them all and knows their skills.

There really wouldn't be a point. Most of the Akatsuki members gain their prowess from their unique abilities. However, once these abilities are figured out, they lose their overall potential.

For instance, once you know how Hidan and Kakuzu work, you know not to try to kill them, but rather to simply disable them. Similar principles hold true for every member of Akatsuki, and therefore, they would be a bad fit for the bodies of Pain.

This was the foreshadow of what the top akatsuki was made of.

Just by looking at the rest of the akatsuki, you can tell what pains ability were going to be.

Kishi wanted to bring back most of Akatsuki as Edos so that fans could enjoy seeing the members' personalities again and whatnot. Paths don't have emotions, and Kishi was never going to re-use the Pain abilities (too boring). For fans of the Pain powers, that's why Kishi gave us three chapters of Nagato in action.

It was critical to the plot that Naruto had a chance to interact with the previous Jinchuuriki and they're Bijuu in order to develop his role as their savior / ally. The fact that the Jinchuuriki were made into Paths highlighted their plight, demonstrated Obito's control over the bijuu, and created a swt of paths that fight in a unique way while also sharing a theme.

Imo, Kishi made the right calls!
