Oky hear me out this is my rant on how obito couldve been hokage and how great of a charater obito was. obito was lost and forgotten. Thier are 2 times where obito couldve changed and become hokage.you have to keep in mind that obito is susceptible to changing it was just to late for him in the stroy for him to go back.
One was when he was training with madara for aleast 2 to 3 years after rin had been killed. Back On the day of the attack on konaha minato figured the mask man to be madara on just speculation, then he realized that its impossible for tobi to be madara and deiceided to not care who the mask man was.
But what if minato did talk to mask man during the fight? What if minato discovered the identity. Would he be able to change obito
If so obito wouldve been hokage, one because he wasnt himself at the time of the attack(the puppet seal on his heart and the brain washing ) and the 9t attack wouldve ended premature with the resealing of the 9t. Obito would have some kind of punishment and rehabilitation thourgh some year and later becoming the 5th hokage.
Second he couldve had a kami fight with kakashi at the time when sasuke was fighting itachi. He would have possibly lost the puppet seal (he could have use izanagi, or hashirama cells then the charka in the gego statue to heal his wounds) and have fought naruto enough to see his oldself. He wouldve slowly reconnect to his oldself and go agianst his current self. He wouldve made a full turn around at the naruto bee gai and kakashi fight. Ending the war.of course he would have a punishment but thats years later after helped taking down the remaining edo and stoping BZ for good or even sasuke. He wouldve became the 6th hokage at that time kakashi was hokage. Thats saying only naruto,bee,kakashi , gai and the second saskue rescue team knew who the mask man was.
Now if obito did become hokage would he have been the strongest and influential hokage in history. He started a war that would unite the five nations (under a secert alias as the mask man) and continued the will of fire way better than kakashi.
I just hate to see obitos powers and potential go to waste when he couldve easily change the game himself. his charater it would be nice to see him fighting for good in PS. All in all obitos death was a huge lost to the advancment of the ninja world.
In the installment Naruto wouldnt have die as hokage instead it would have been obito. A death worthy for his character. The first hokage to have come out from the shadows.
