before we saw obito's ms it looked like he was using kamui with his 3t sharingan but im not sure so can he use kamui with his 3t sharingan?

It would seem so, but it's also probable that showing Obito's Mangekyo early on in the manga would have been a huge spoiler on his identity so we were never shown him activating ms to use Kamui.

ST is not a sharingan power, it's due to his senju body. the sharingan enhances his ST making him able to be more effective in battle!
He never used it without his MS on..the majority of times that Obito has used his ability in the manga, his eye hole was blacked out for suspense purposes... he also takes off his ms sometimes possibly for chakra saving purposes or once again maybe a plot tool for suspense

It shows his MS being activated when he and Kakashi were younger when Rin diedish... but before that as previously stated you cant really see his one original eye kind of odd tho no one mentioned it changing.
