Tsukoyomi is limited, meaning even if Obito can be with Rin in a genjutsu he'll run out of chakra and the tsukoyomi will end but with the Juubi he can have infinite tsukoyomi and be with Rin forever and ever, so ultimately he's doing all of this because of his hormonal rage.
