If Naruto wasn't there, the SA would've had major problems telling the Zetsu apart from their comrades.

Not to mention, the war was a distraction. His goal was Naruto and Bee. Another thing to factor is the Bijuu he planned to use and not actually knowing that Naruto would actually manage to become a perfect Jinchuuriki. He had no idea of knowing that Naruto would be able to tell the Zetsus apart from everyone else.


Yup, without Naruto, they might've been screwed or atleast had major casualties.
