Many people on the base including me had anticipated that Obito might become The Jubbi's Jin.... And he is The Jin currently....

But I feel he remembering Rin before undergoing every tranformation is lame.... He said in 629 I guess that Rin had nothing to do with his change of mind....

But it was obviously a lie now that we see him remembering Rin everytime while he plays a tug of war with The Jubbi to take control of Jubbi's power....

Rin is his motivation.... She always has been.... And yea he started war to bend the world to his own ways because he couldn't bear losing Rin....

So it is because of "You let Rin die." Even though in Kamui Dimension he told Kakashi that Rin's death had nothing to do with his going on the wrong path.... It has got everything to do with Obito's current path....

It sucks to see the villain use the memories of the girl he loved.... I would have really cheered Obito if he was on good side and used Rin's memories....

That's more of a hero's thing.... To remember the people he loved and get pumped up.... It really doesn't suit a villain....

TBH I always felt.... His motivation (Rin) is what hampers his position as a villain for me and quite a few others....

I really don't feel like counting him a villain.... He has got a good powerup.... But that's not enough.... He needs to hold on to something sinister as a villain....

But it's all Rin.... Rin everywhere.... I really hope Madara does some good gamble.... Because Obito is not a true Villain....

He's more of an Antihero.... Trying to achieve the same thing as Naruto i.e. Changing the Shinobi world.... But in his own way....

The only thing that I don't like about Obito is him remebering Rin everytime.... It's annoying.... Apart from that he's good....

What do you guys say..?? =D =D

In some ways yes, but he is definitely a childish villain that has a horrible excuse, Rin..

The last part kinda saved you, but I'd disagree.

People like Vegeta and Shadow the Hedgehog are Anti-heroes. They help the alliance or the good guys because it benefits them or they have some parallel goal.

For example, Vegeta entering fights because he now lives on earth, or because he alone will kill Goku.

Obito is more of an Antagonist. He's directly killing and opposing the world as he is the one who acted on Madara's plan for war.

An anti-hero in Naruto is Sasuke...he helps the alliance because now he wishes to defend Konoha. Similarly, he anti-heroically stopped Kabuto because only after his loss could he talk with Itachi.

No. An Anti hero, is a guy who fights on the good guys said but isn't really a good guy. Naruto and Obito are on opposing sides, so he isn't an anti hero.

Besides Obito is responsible for many deaths and destroyed lives, he corrupted Sasuke, and he unleashed the 9 tails on the Hidden Leaf, he is a villain.

Obito is more of a joke than anything else. He's destroying the world over some girl he knew when he was 11. What a qweeb.

I think the Main Antagonist is being switch back and forth through Naruto Shippuden with Obito and Madara as oppose to Naruto with just Orochimaru.

I think hes in between. He really wasn't given enough of a back story to make him that "evil" person everyone should fear. Something like his parents were killed by The White Fang. He's underdeveloped :dunno:

so he isnt "properly" evil because not enough people he loves were killed? its quite clear his entire motivation revolves aroud his team meaning his parents were either neglectful asses not worth saving or not around at all.
why isnt it not cruel enough to have his best friend kill his love?

He is an antagonist. If a character is an anti-hero or a villain isn't decided by their Motivation, but by their role in the plot. Obito is the one opposing the protagonists, making him the Antagonist or villain in the plot. An anti-hero is esentially a hero, fighting on the protagonist's side, but uses questionable methods or has hidden motives.
