This is the ultimate irony of Naruto.

Obito is right. Peace can never be achieved, as peace over time decays. Any sort of "peace" forged between people will slowly decay over time- How is this any different than an illusion?

At least with Obito's Illusion, peace is true and lasting. Everybody might not agree with it now, but once it's activated, it won't matter; They'll all be living their lives inside the illusion, perfectly content, unaware that they are in an illusion. Everything is controlled; a Utopian Society, no war, no fighting, everyone truly at peace.

Som might argue that this illusion isn't true peace as it isn't "real". I'll respond to that with a favorite quote of mine from the Matrix:

This peace in the illusion might as well be as real as any "peace" forged on the outside. The only difference is that this illusion, as opposed to the one that will decay over time, will be consistent.

Some will argue that the lack of free will within the plan is upsetting, and a problem. I disagree.

When someone is working for the greater good, a lasting peace, one that will work, the opinions of others do not matter. Some may be too naive to understand the truth behind the plan, or some may be too stubborn to accept it. This does not mean they are "right".

Just look at Hashirama and Madara's "peace". Sure, it lasted for maybe a few weeks or months, but as time moves on alligances are forgotten, and all it takes is moment of backstabbing or hate for the peace to crumble.

All in all, Obito's plan for peace is easily the most effective. Any other forged peace between countries will last only for a time, and will decay as time moves on. Most are just too naive to see that.

No...

A Utopia should not exist. The world is meant to have problems. Things aren't supposed to be perfect.

However, that doesn't mean that senseless violence and bloodshed has to make up those "problems" in NV.

Certainly there's a way to attain reasonable peace without doing it Obito's way. If anyone I agree with Hashirama, that when two sides work together, happiness can be attained.

Except Hashirama has already been proven wrong. Enter Madara and Sasuke.

The world was meant to have problems? Says who? What positive force do problems serve in our world? None.

A Utopia should exist. It's just no one can make one in the real world. However, in Naruto, Obito can.

obito also is chasing after the power of rikudo. which is the power to turn imagination into reality. thus he doesnt feel guilty about the people he kills because in the end they will be alive anyway in his rebuilt world under genjutsu.
its kind of like killing people in a video game. you dont feel guilty because they will just respawn.

that kind of attitude led to world wars

First of all ..... you think unlike the real peace, Obito himself and thus the Infinite Tsukiomi last forever? Even Sage of Six Paths died and JUbi was ripped to shreds.

Secondly .... Enough about peace but about practical problems: Infinite Tsukiomy may control the mind of the people but what about the body, will they lie around shrivel or work according to the users will? Also how Infinite Tsukiomy is going to solve problems like hunger, disease etc?

Thirdly .... Why u guys think stripping the entire humanity of their free will is a good thing?

Problems serve as a form of balance... if you will. If no one ever made mistakes and had issues to deal with, then how could any life lessons be learned? Or any form of wisdom be attained?

Hashirama's way does have the possibility of only serving as "momentary" peace, but that's how it should be.
Peace was never meant to last forever. It only exists as a way to relieve us of our worries and problems at times.

That's how I see it.

All hunger, disease, etc., will be no problem. Tsukuyomi alters time; a
second IRL could be a week in the illusion.

That's because the Sage did not cast Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Sometimes people don't understand what's best for them and require someone with a greater intellect.

Rather stupid answers ..... cos IRL the body will still suffer. A fully mastered Tsukiomy alters the sensation of time not the time itself, by your logic the mind may be having months worth of fun while the body will suffer days worth of suffering until it perishes.

Casting infinte Tsukiomy would have made the Sage immortal? Explain how please.

Sometimes people don't understand what's best for them and require someone with a greater intellect.

Perhaps true (Even Nazi game similar reasons) ..... but greater intellect is not sufficient to play god, one has to have nearly infinite compassion and empathy too, which Obito is sadly lacking.

On the contrary, thoughts do not lead to world wars. It is the actions of individuals that do.
"Problems" is a broad term, and not all problems lead to war.

As I've said before, I agree with Hashirama's way. There are a few who do not approve of the current ninja system. Rather than fighting about, if the two sides would work together to change it for the better good then true happiness could be attained.

That's ridiculous, you are saying that a lunatic knows whats best for the world, and that everyone should just give up there free will because one lunatic told them so.

What are Obito's credentials for being the one who knows what's best for the world as you claim.

The argument that people don't know what is best for them is always used by blood thirsty tyrants like Hitler, Obito is no different from them.

Peace is pointless if people don't have free will, so Obito is completely wrong.

They could live 200 years in their head and only experience 1 minute IRL. It may not be infinite, but it works for a much larger period than negotiated peace.

The Sage would not have been immortal, but he could live a very, very long time within the illusion of IT.

Obito isn't a lunatic. He's a visionary that no one wants to accept because his ideas are radical but true.

Once within Infinite Tsukuyomi, it matters not if they had free will before. Fact of the matter is, they will be content in their illusion world and no one will be the wiser. Free will is all an issue of perspective.

What are Naruto's credentials? Being the leas character of a Manga? Lol

The difference between Hitler and Obito is that Hitler was wrong and Obito is right. Obito isn't a blood thirsty tyrant, he just
knows peace will never truly be acheived without IT.

It doesn't matter how peace is obtained, as long as it is. Who says people inside IT won't have free will? They'll be living their perfect life.

Oh really there I ask again who gave Obito the right to decide what was best for everyone.

How do you know they will be content in the infinite Tsukuyomi?

And Obito a visionary how ridiculous, Obito is a classic blood thirsty lunatic, he has zero regard for human life.

Obito is no different from Adolf Hitler, you haven't presented any proof at all to back up your claims.

Its been established that people inside Infinite Tsukuyomi don't have free will, that's the whole idea behind it.

At this point you are just making things up to attempt to justify your argument.

And don't minus rep people just because you disagree with them.

Are you challenged?

Obito has done NOTHING that resembles what Hitler did. Nothing. In fact, do tell what Obito has done that resembles Hitler? Did you take a history Class child?

I think you're forgetting something; Obito isn't a bloodthirsty tyrant, he wants peace for the whole world.

It was already stated Infinite Tsukuyomi creates the perfect world for anyone.

He doesn't need permission to do what's right for everyone else, even if they disagree. Sometimes people arn't aware of what's needed to be done, in which case you do it anyways without their consent.

You have no argument.

At this point you aren't debating anymore, you are just throwing a tantrum.

I don't debate with people like that, this conversation is over.
