obito is not sage level.....here is why

now lets look at the feats in short form cuz ppl here dont like to read

obito:

- not strong enough to fight the incomeplete sub form juubi toe to toe so he is weak compared to the sage pre jin
- used and already made seal to take it in
- took in the incomplete juubi missing 9 tails and 8 tails in sub form
- lost himself to the juubi

sage:

- fought the full juubi toe to toe so was strong enough to fight pre jin
- made the seal to bring it inside himself
- fought the full juubi in full form
- took it in and had no problem keeping it inside for years and years till he got old and had kids and lived a long life
- upon his deathe he let it out in a seperated form creating the bijuu


is whoever this is the strongest person on the field in this life time ? yes

is he close to the sage................nope

I get you are reffering to "the same as the sage" part ? It could mean that like the sage, Obito has the 10 tails in himself too. Not that he stood on equal footing with the sage

the only dispute i have is when u sadi he used a seal that was already created to seal the juubi/ where as the sage had to create it doesn't really mean much. the fact that obito was able to A find out about it and B strong enough to use it makes them equal in that aspect in my opinion.

no. i believe he was refering to abilities. he is the 10 tails jin with rinnegan. he is the closest one to the so6p so madara compared him as such. this is not to say obito is on the same level as the sage..besides, no one has seen the sage...not even madara so how can he make such a statement?

no he said he is like the sage meaning he is the juubi jin also madara never met the sage so explain what he knows about the sages true power

its simple the sages knowledge of jutsu was in a clase all its own as he created jutsu....obito is just using already made jutsu he learned from either madara or the tablet

making the sage also far superior in jutsu and that is big because having the juubi gives you a power increase but not new jutsu that sage made jutsu at will

The sage used his own original fuuinjutsu against the juubi. Obito used one of the sage's moves against the juubi. obito did not use his own seal, but a seal invented by the sage.

You are right. But I believe Madara means that because he couldn't possibly know the extent of the Sage's power so I can't see him saying Obito is as strong as the Sage. At best he could only be guessing and that's not really facts =D
