Now, Obito can negate any technique Madara throws at him and absolutely obliterate and negate Madara's Edo Tensei. Unless the trump card is some ulterior massive plot device, Obito is still in control.

Madara made a plan, Obito made it reality. If Kabuto hadn't shown up with a way to bring him back, Madara's last hope of resurrection would have died with Nagato. Honestly, I'm not sure if EITHER of the two are good final villain material, but in the context of the series, Obito definitely will be the last one standing.

Madara needs to become the Juubi Jinchuuriki to cast Tsuki No me, meaning that he would have to:
-Be revived
-Seal the Juubi inside himself
-Gain control of it
-And start the process all over again.

Which is the reason why I can't see Madara's trump card succeeding. It would send the whole plot backwards.
