*I looked on the search bar and there wasn't anything like this.
So if you've read the latest Manga chapter, you'll see Obito gradually getting stronger and spouting new limbs from his half crushed body.
White Zetsu soon informs him that Kakashi and Rin are under attack by Hidden Mist ninja.
Obito tries to break through the Rock Madara placed, but breaks his new formed arm.
Soon the Zetsu with Tobi's original mask tells him he can borrow his body.
This breeds wonder on what's going to happen when Obito goes to the surface, I think that he is going to observe Rin's death, and in the Manga he says himself that Kakashi let Rin die.
I do not think that he would have said that out of hatred for Rin dying, and just blaming Kakashi because he was on her squad.
I think that when Obito sees Rin and Kakashi in danger, he tries to help, but the Zetsu won't let him go. This would make a lot of sense because he is letting him use his body, not letting him do what he wants with it entirely.
Once Obito sees Rin die by the Hidden Mist ninja, he soon feels the pain of losing someone close, and once that happens I think he will unlock his Mangekyou Sharingan, or at least his 3 Tomoe Sharingan.
And this perfectly fits the timeline of when Rin dies, and before the Kyuubi attack.
