Since Obito's been thinking about Rin & Kakashi for the past year, it would have strained his mind completely after seeing Kakashi kill Rin. Obito wakes up trapped in a cave with an old man & two androids made out of trees.

After all, a thirteen year old would eventually go through a psychological crisis after living through a hell like that, right? Obito must have lost it once Rin died, and he must have fallen deep into a state of denial thinking he really is in Hell.

What do you guys think?

I think that psychological crisis/proble/trauma can't be biger than Sasuke's (what he had been through and seen), so that doesn't justify him/his actions. Altgough it couldn't be easy for him..

Dont forget that people act differently. You cant assume that if Sasuke was more or less fine then Obito must be aswell... Even if it is drawing Obitos character was far more emotional than Sasuke to begin with.

Obito went through an emotional turmoil, especially when his goal/dream was to see Rin & Kakashi again. Obito even wanted to protect them from the war but seeing his friend Kakashi kill off Rin would indefinitely drive him crazy. Obito is a phlegmatic -- people pleaser & cares deeply about people. If something to that extreme happened to him, it would throw him off course.

Obito's turning point from going from Light to Dark.

Obito: See's his true love murdered by his best friend, goes on a twisted quest to take over and control the world to force everyone into an era of peace

Sasuke: See's his entire family get murdered by his big brother, decides to join Oro to kill his big brother. Learns that his brother did so to keep peace in the village, decides to destroy the village and the peace that they have because of his brother.

I don't know what on earth makes you think Obito's actions are more severe than Sasuke's. All Obito wants is a world without fighting or death. Sasuke just wants to kill people

Love for others pushes people to do amazing and dark things. Rin may not have been family, but Obito was in love with her. The fact that she was literally everything to him and the source of his drive while recovering justifies his actions. Losing someone you care that dearly for either causes men to rise above the pain or wallow in it, Obito did the latter since it was the easier of the two.

Anyone can walk in the shadows and embrace their pain, but only the strong can push past the pain they feel to become even stronger.
