Obito dies if he betrays Madara / Zetsu

Obito only means of living right now is the artificial body that was given to him. I was thinking about what if he betrayed Madara and Zetsu? Would he die because the artificial body that was given to him was his only means to survival. Madara did mention in 602 that if he kept on moving that artificial body would be gone and he would die.

Does that mean that Obito is doing evil deed because he has no choice? Is he just a slave to Madara and Zetsu? He has no control over his own body. In 601 is shows his arm "fizzing" after Madara told Obito why he resurrect him using Edo Tensei

What do you guys think?
