Obito didn't use wood against kakashi because...

Obito knew imo, that his wood is not strong enough do give kakashi problems... When kakashi gained kamui everybody forgot all his other abilities like speed and good reflexes and speed.

Kakashi tanked and dodged kakuzu's strongest atacks... while they were far more dangerous than obito's wood.

Also, they bijuu-sized fire ball jutsu wouldn't have worked, since obito has to breath deeper for making a larger fire ball, and if he makes such a long oppening to gather enough chakra, he gets decapitated.

I'm not saying obito wasn't handicapped, but WOOD and FIRE wouldn't have worked anyways, since kakashi was WATER and HIDING LIKE A MOLE (OTHER DOTONS) that he didn't use either.

The only handicap obito had is not having kamui and gedo mazo, but wood and fire were at his disposal, he just didn't use them because he knew that couldn't have worked against kakashi

Obito hasn't been shown using wood style aside from when he killed a fodder mist nin and when he synced himself with the Juubi.

I disagree, mokuton would've saved his life in that situation.

Obito was able to catch natuto in his mokuton, its an extension of his own body. If obito used mokuton to restrain kakashi's arm similar to the way he did it against naruto then he would've survived, but instead kishi gave him black rods (black rods that he has never even used before, might I add :|).

It was a good ol fashion ninja match You know the one everyone complains about not having since there is no much senju this uchiha that.

Lets also for the love of god stop forgetting that kakashi was better then obito from the start

Obito used it against fodders, against kakashi these jutsu won't works.
Even Yamato showed better wood jutsus so what?
He tried the same trick but bigger version against Kakuzu but we see that against kage level ninjas these attack are jokes.
